If you’re a history or geology buff / nerd in any way, shape or form, you’ll probably find yourself wondering when every single one of these cracks was formed in this Gettysburg boulder, and will probably be fascinated just thinking about all that molten rock rising above the earth's surface in prehistoric days. This particular boulder is located at Devil’s Den, and the picture has some interesting photo bombers . . . the Witness Tree at top left, and Little Round Top’s “castle” monument at center right.

PVT. URIAH RICE ANDERSON
Born 1840 --- Died July 02, 1863 at age 23

Co. F, 48TH Georgia Infantry

Pvt. Anderson enlisted in March 1862. He was married to Charlotte and had a daughter Martha, who was two years old when her father died in battle.
