March 02, 2016

** This blog published Mondays and Wednesdays **

This October sunset (2014) was definitely a welcome surprise. The picture doesn’t quite do it justice, but as usual, the scene was stunning, peaceful, and somehow reverent. The 143RD Pennsylvania monument can be seen at left, while the fence provides a nice picturesque prop. The camera is looking from Cemetery Ridge in the direction of the Peter Frey farm, the Jacob Hummelbaugh farm, and Taneytown Road. A cannon or two would have made the picture even better, but sadly every photo can’t have artillery in it. :-)

**HONORED TODAY**
